Stop Calling Them Young Women

They weren’t. The files say so. The media chose not to.

The Transparency Files are a series of articles based on the publicly released Epstein Files.

Let’s talk about the ages.

If you’ve been following this community or the wider coverage, you’ve probably noticed something. Every mainstream article, every press conference, every courtroom summary reaches for the same phrase: “young women.” Not girls. Not teenagers. Not minors. “Young women.” A phrase that makes a 13-year-old sound like a college student.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act corpus — 1.38 million documents released by the U.S. government — contains the specific ages. FBI agents wrote “12-year-old.” Prosecutors wrote “age 13.” Victims testified “I was 14.” But somewhere between the documents and the headlines, those ages disappear. Ten becomes “young woman.” Twelve becomes “underage girl.” Fourteen becomes “young woman” again.

Someone emailed Epstein a photo captioned “Age 10.” FBI agents wrote “12-year-old.” Federal prosecutors wrote “age 13.” Witnesses said “fourteen year old girl.” Epstein himself told a writer a victim “was really 13 years old when you met her.” JPMorgan’s own due diligence report documented “two 12-year-old French girls.” And girls — minors — were told by other minors: “Don’t tell Epstein your age.”

So here’s what’s been put together. Every explicit age reference found in the corpus where the victim was a minor. Not “young woman.” The age.

Age 10

Two words in an email.

The Photo

Someone sent Epstein an email on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 8:59 PM (20:59). Here’s the entire thing:

“Age 10”

Sent from my iPhone

That’s it. A photograph of a child. The caption is her age. No subject line. No words. Just a photo and a number.

Two minutes earlier, the same person sent a second photo (EFTA01743626 (torrent), 8:57 PM (20:57)) — attachment FullSizeRender.jpg, body: “Xxxxx.” Same sender. Same format. Same iPhone.

Neither photograph made it into the public release. The sender’s name is redacted. The only thing that survived the redaction was the age: ten.

Age 11

The Database

Document: EFTA00019223 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

The attorney general of the Virgin Islands — not a tipster, not an anonymous caller, an attorney general — filed a lawsuit stating:

“Mr. Epstein and his associates used a database to track victims as young as 11 years old.”

A database – a system for cataloguing children. The youngest entries were eleven years old. This isn’t conspiracy, it’s an attorney general’s filing in a court of law.

Age 12

This is the age Epstein bragged about. Openly. To people’s faces.

The Birthday Gift

Document: EFTA00020703 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

A witness testified:

“The worst one that I heard from his own mouth was this pretty 12 year old girls he had flown in for his birthday. It was a surprise birthday gift from one of his friends and they were from France. I did see them, I did meet them. Jeffrey bragged afterwards after he met them that they were 12 year olds and flown over from France because they’re really poor over there, and their parents needed the money or whatever the case is and they were absolutely free to stay and flew out.”

The witness saw them, met them. Heard Epstein brag about it afterwards. Two — or three — twelve-year-old girls, flown from France as a birthday present for a billionaire.

This one keeps showing up. It appears in at least four separate documents:

The accounts can’t agree on whether it was two girls or three. The age never changes. Always twelve.

Four independent documents across three dataset releases all describe the same event. The number of girls varies. The age doesn’t.

JPMorgan Knew

Document: EFTA01480954 (torrent) — DS10

JPMorgan’s own investigators compiled a due diligence report on Epstein. Their own report. And it says:

“buying a 14-year-old Yugloslavian… in order to keep [her] as his ‘sex slave’; paying a retinue of women to trawl Palm Beach for teenagers economically desperate enough to agree to give Epstein ‘massages’ that often led to sexual contact; receiving two 12-year-old French girls as a ‘birthday present’”

They had this in their files. They knew about the twelve-year-olds and kept him as a client.

The Thai Child

“EPSTEIN tells [redacted] about a Thai massage and describes going to Thailand and having sex with a 12-year-old massage therapist.”

He just… told someone. The way you’d mention a restaurant you tried on holiday. A twelve-year-old child in Thailand.

The Criminal Enterprise

Document: EFTA00729603 (archive) — DS9

“Defendant Epstein devised a complex plan, scheme and criminal enterprise to gain access to countless underage minor females, some as young as 12 years old, for the purpose of coercing the minor females into various acts of sexual misconduct.”

That’s the legal system’s own words. “As young as 12 years old.” Not “young women.” Twelve.

Age 13

Age 13 appears the most often in the most violent allegations. Let’s just let the documents speak.

“Was Really 13 Years Old When You Met Her”

Document: EFTA02409996 (archive) — DS11

A writer/journalist followed up after a phone call with Epstein on Monday, July 19, 2010:

“You mentioned something about this 21 year old girl who was really 13 years old when you met her, who lied to you and said she was 21, and ultimately was found to be 20 years old. Please can you clarify, thanks.”

Epstein’s response: “I would remind you that the entire conversation was off the record with your agreement.”

He didn’t deny it. He didn’t dispute the age. He disputed the journalist’s right to repeat it.

“I Was 13 Years Old When Donald J Trump Raped Me”

Document: EFTA01660651 (torrent) — DS10 (FBI NTOC compilation, Complaint #17)

“I was 13 years old when Donald J Trump raped me. Ghislaine Maxwell was also present.”

Thirteen. Not “young woman.” Thirteen.

Forced Sex Acts at 13, Pregnant (1984)

Same document, Complaint #13:

“she was forced to perform sex acts when she was 13 years old and pregnant in 1984. Trump participated regularly in paying money to force her to perform sex acts… Trump was present when her uncle murdered her newborn daughter.”

FBI disposition: No contact made.

Oral Sex at 13-14 (NJ, ~1990)

Same document, Complaint #1:

“Reported an unidentified female friend forced to perform oral sex on President Trump approximately 35 years ago in NJ. The friend told [caller] that she was approximately 13-14 years old when this occurred.”

The Katie Johnson Lawsuit

Document: EFTA00622303 (archive) — DS9

A federal civil complaint, filed Tuesday, April 26, 2016:

“Trump and Epstein argued over who would be the one to take Plaintiff Johnson’s virginity.”

She was 13. The complaint sought $100 million. It was withdrawn four days before the 2016 election. The plaintiff cited death threats.

Four days before the election. The person who signed the EFTA into law.

Epstein Protects Trump on the 13-Year-Old

This is where it gets into the nested Russian dolls territory from the intro. Three documents show Epstein actively working to suppress the allegation that Trump raped a 13-year-old.

Writer Paul Krassner tells Epstein (EFTA02652074 (archive), Saturday, April 22, 2017) he’s revising a book passage. Originally called Trump an “accused rapist of a 13-year-old in 1994.” Now?

“to be fair, I realized, thanks to you, that I had no evidence that he had raped a 13-year-old, though I did have evidence that, as an adult, there was evidence that she made an accusation.”

“Thanks to you.” Epstein convinced a writer to take it out on Trump’s behalf. That’s what friend do for each other, right?

Epstein’s reply the next day (EFTA02652311 (archive)):

“you can read the guardian article on the alleged 13 year old. put up to it by a pr guy, former jerry springer sales pitch man”

And then this one. Epstein emails Brock Pierce (EFTA02661219 (archive), Thursday, January 26, 2017):

“you can remind bannon that when the women that accusd donald of raping when she was a 13 year old… she disappeared, but no media was willing to call her a Liar or her statements lies.”

So just to be clear about what we’re looking at here: a convicted sex offender with documented access to minors as young as 10 was coaching Brock Pierce on what to tell Steve Bannon about how to defend Trump against a 13-year-old’s rape accusation. One accused rapist of minors was managing media strategy for another accused rapist of a minor. One ended up ‘dead by suicide’, while the other one was President, attempted a coup and then became president again.

The suppression network: Epstein convinced a writer to remove the allegation from a book, coached Pierce on what to tell Bannon, and discredited the accuser — all documented in DS11 emails.

Maxwell Weaponises Abuse at 13

Document: EFTA02690183 (archive) — DS11

Maxwell, compiling opposition research on Virginia Roberts, Friday, July 1, 2011:

“2 prior complaints of sexual abuse, one when she was 13 years old I think… and her mother who was worried that she was into witch craft and drugs”

So Maxwell used the fact that Roberts had been sexually abused at 13 — before Epstein — as ammunition to discredit her. A girl was abused at 13, then exploited by Epstein and Maxwell, then the prior abuse was weaponised against her when she tried to speak up. That’s how these people operate.

Victim 4 — Met Epstein at 13

Document: EFTA02731082 (torrent) — DS12 (SDNY prosecution memorandum)

“Met Epstein and Maxwell at age 13. Maxwell and Epstein approached her at a picnic table. Epstein asked for her phone number. Later invited for tea. Maxwell and assistants ‘regularly call [victim’s] house phone to invite [her] to visit.’ Abuse began at 14.”

She was thirteen.

Victim 9 — Recruited at 13, Pregnant at 15

Same document:

“Recruited at age 13 or 14 in Palm Beach. Estimates that she may have brought as many as one hundred underage girls to Epstein’s Palm Beach residence. Became pregnant at 15; Epstein no longer wanted to see her but allowed her to continue recruiting.”

She was recruited at 13. By 15 she was pregnant. By then she had brought an estimated one hundred other girls to his house. She wasn’t a “young woman.” She was a teenager conscripted into recruiting other minors.

Age 14

Fourteen seems to be where the system’s language really breaks down. This is the age they start calling “young woman” in earnest.

The Fourteen-Year-Old’s Defence

Epstein emails his crisis PR consultant, Wednesday, March 9, 2011:

“The fourteen year old told the police that she swore she was 18, and that mr Epstein would not let anyone in the house who was not.”

Look at that. His own defence isn’t “I didn’t have sex with her.” It’s “she said she was 18.” He wrote the number himself: fourteen.

The First Victim Who Called Police

Document: EFTA01689427 (torrent) — DS10

“A fourteen-year-old girl who lives in Loxahatchee, Florida, and who attended Royal Palm Beach High School, provided Epstein ‘sexual massages.’ The fourteen-year-old girl informed PBPD that she had been paid $300.00 by Epstein to perform a ‘sexual massage’, which entailed providing a massage to Epstein while he was naked and the fourteen-year-old was wearing only her thong panties.”

The FBI wrote “fourteen-year-old” three times in one paragraph. She went to high school. She was paid $300.

“A Young Woman Befriended Her Outside Her School”

Document: EFTA02731082 (torrent) — DS12

“When [victim] was approximately 14 years old, another young woman befriended [victim] outside her school.”

And there it is. Right there in a federal prosecution document. The victim is “approximately 14 years old.” The recruiter — also a minor — is called “a young woman.” She was standing outside a school. Befriending a 14-year-old. But she’s a “young woman.” This is the euphemism doing its work in real time, inside the documents themselves.

Victim 1 — “You Know What I Like”

Same document:

“Recruited at approximately age 14 in New York. Visited Epstein’s residence at least dozens of times.”

When asked to recruit others, Epstein told her: “you know what I like” — which she understood to mean “underage, petite girls.”

“Katie LNU” — Raped at 14

Document: EFTA01660651 (torrent) — DS10 (FBI NTOC, Complaint #3)

“Tal raped a 14-year-old girl named ‘Katie LNU.’”

Katie’s last name is unknown. She was 14. She was raped at one of Epstein’s parties by Tal Alexander — one of three brothers now on federal trial for trafficking. Katie LNU. Last Name Unknown. That’s all we have.

The Golf Course

Document: EFTA01249507 (archive) — DS9

“Maxwell gave the idea to put cameras in at the Golf course to review the Cartel members and understand how to market the twelve- to fourteen-year-old victims to the Cartel.”

Market. That’s the word used. Market twelve- to fourteen-year-old girls. To the Cartel. The tipster also reported three girls murdered and buried at the facility. The FBI deemed the tipster not credible. Make of that what you will.

“I Was Not Yet 14” — Told to Lie About Her Age

Document: EFTA02725395 (archive) — DS11

A victim’s own words:

“I met Mr. Jeffrey August 2004… I was between repeating sixth grade… I was not yet 14. [She] came to my house to get me to go and we called a cab to Jeffrey’s. She told me I had to tell him a different age, 16 or over because I wouldn’t get paid.”

Sixth grade, not yet 14. And the recruiter — herself a minor — told her to lie about her age because Epstein wouldn’t pay otherwise. The system required a minimum age, and that minimum was a lie.

Another victim in the same set of documents (EFTA02725090 (archive)) testified: “Don’t tell [Epstein] your age.” That instruction was passed between girls.

“Not So Heinous”

Document: EFTA02512996 (archive) — DS11

Evolutionary biologist Robert Trivers, defending Epstein publicly, Tuesday, February 3, 2015:

“By the time they’re 14 or 15, they’re like grown women were 60 years ago, so I don’t see these acts as so heinous.”

A scientist, calling the rape of teenagers at 14 and 15 “not so heinous.” And sending it to the man who raped them. This is what it looks like when the outer dolls protect the inner ones.

“New Epstein Victim”

Document: EFTA01649546 (torrent) — DS10 (FBI internal email, Tuesday, August 6, 2019)

“New Epstein victim… She was victimized from age 14 to 17 by him at his New York residence.”

Three years. Age 14 to 17. She called the hotline anonymously after his arrest. The FBI wrote “age 14 to 17.” Not “young woman.” Ages.

The Associate Who Watched and Laughed

Document: EFTA02429978 (archive) — DS11

An associate watched a victim’s deposition, then emailed Epstein on Wednesday, February 10, 2010:

“Yesterday was interesting for several reasons. One stark example came when [she] was asked if she enjoyed the sex with a boyfriend at about age 14. She smiled and said no. When probed she laughed out loud and exclaimed that was because he had a small penis, like Jeffery.”

And then he tells Epstein: “I can see several things clearly. First, why you have insisted these girls were not and are not damaged, if only because they were, and are, prostitutes.”

She was 14. He called her a prostitute. He sent this email to the man who paid her. This is how they talked about teenage girls behind closed doors. This is the inner doll.

Age 15

Old enough to try to escape.

The Girl Who Swam

Document: EFTA00018778 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

“A 15 year old victim was forced into sexual acts with Epstein and others at his residence, then attempted to escape by swimming off Little Saint James island. Epstein organized a search party that found her and held her captive by confiscating her passport.”

A fifteen-year-old girl, on an island in the Caribbean, tried to swim away from a billionaire sex trafficker. He sent a search party. They found her. They took her passport.

This shows up in three separate documents (EFTA00018778 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent), EFTA00029746 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent), EFTA00019223 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent)). It’s not a rumour. It’s documented three times.

Note: if someone would have swum away and drowned, would they be in the files?

Maxwell’s Recruitment

Document: EFTA01995551 (torrent) — DS10

“Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her as Epstein’s ‘sex slave’ when she was 15 years old.”

She was subsequently sent to Prince Andrew three times — London, New York, and Little Saint James.

Sex with Maxwell

Document: EFTA00865979 (archive) — DS9

“She claims to have had sex with Ms Maxwell when [she] was 15 years old.”

The same affidavit states Maxwell “had large amounts of child pornography that she personally made.”

The Russian Girl

Document: EFTA00037805 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

“Epstein allegedly brought a 15-year-old Russian girl to his yacht at a party.”

Jean-Luc Brunel’s Pipeline

Document: EFTA01248647 (archive) — DS9

“Jean-Luc was taking 15-year-old girls to his own place… to Jeffrey’s house.”

Jean-Luc Brunel, the model scout who was found hanged in his Paris jail cell in February 2022. He operated a pipeline. The word “pipeline” isn’t mine. Look at the pattern in the documents.

“Her Then-15-Year-Old Sister”

Document: EFTA00037285 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

“her then-15-year-old sister molested by Epstein and his companion, Ghislaine Maxwell, in 1996.”

The witness also saw “school-age girls in uniforms coming to the mansion being told they were auditioning for modeling work.”

School uniforms.

Age 16

This is where “young woman” fully takes over in the reporting. By 16, the media won’t say “teenager” or “minor” or even “girl.” It’s “young woman” from here.

“I Was a 16-Year-Old Virgin”

Document: EFTA00019994 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

“I was a 16-year-old virgin when Jeffrey Epstein first raped me.”

And then:

“How easy was it to manipulate a 16-year-old virgin who never had a boyfriend and came from a background of hardship with no parental [support]…”

She didn’t call herself a “young woman.” She said sixteen.

“I Love How Young You Are”

Document: EFTA00022133 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

A 16-year-old lured with Victoria’s Secret modelling promises. After sexually assaulting her, Epstein told her:

“I love girls your age. I love how young you are. You have a tight butt like a baby.”

He then proposed taking her to Thailand to “pick up other girls your age.”

Sixteen. He told her he loved how young she was. He called her body a baby’s. The news report that compiled this described her as a “young woman.”

Jane Doe No. 2

Document: EFTA00013776 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent) — DS1-DS8

“The 16-year-old Virginia girl filed a $50 million federal lawsuit against Epstein for sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

She was 16. She filed a lawsuit. She was designated “Jane Doe No. 2” — because years earlier, during Grand Jury testimony (EFTA00009550 (Removed by DOJ) (torrent)):

“Q: First of all, who is Jane Doe Number 2? A: That would be [REDACTED], our youngest victim.”

Our youngest victim. Not our youngest “young woman.”

“Don’t Tell Epstein Your Age”

Before the euphemisms of the press, there was the instruction passed between girls.

Two separate victims testified under oath that they were told not to reveal their real age:

“she was specifically told by [redacted] ‘Don’t tell [Epstein] your age’” — EFTA02725090 (archive)

“She told me I had to tell him a different age, 16 or over because I wouldn’t get paid.” — EFTA02725395 (archive)

The ages were hidden before the girls even entered the house. The recruiter — herself a minor — taught the new girl to lie. The system required it. And later, Epstein’s defence team used those lies against the victims: if you told him you were 18, how can you claim he knew you were 13?

The age erasure didn’t start with the media. It started at the front door.

The Euphemism Problem

The documents are clear. The FBI wrote “fourteen-year-old girl” and “twelve year old.” Prosecutors wrote “age 13.” Epstein’s own emails say “fourteen year old.” Victims say “I was 16.” They were girls. Teenagers. Minors.

But look at what happens when these ages are relayed to the public:

And it happens inside the documents too. The SDNY prosecution memorandum EFTA02731082 (torrent) calls a victim “approximately 14 years old” in one sentence, then calls the girl who recruited her “a young woman” in the next. That recruiter was standing outside a school.

Another document describes a victim who “saw a girl show Epstein an ID to prove she was under 18.” A minor providing identification to confirm she was young enough.

When Epstein told Victim-1 “you know what I like,” she understood it to mean “underage, petite girls.” Not young women. Girls. Minors. Teenagers.

By the Numbers

From everything found in the corpus so far:

These aren’t edge cases. These ages appear over and over and over across FBI reports, federal prosecution memos, victim testimony, witness statements, and Epstein’s own correspondence.

Age references by dataset release. DS11 (331K documents, January 2026) contains the heaviest concentration at ages 13–14. Only the earliest releases document victims at age 16.

What They Were

Let’s end by just saying what these documents actually describe, without the layers of institutional language that were wrapped around them.

A 10-year-old whose photo was emailed to a billionaire with her age as the caption is not a “young woman.” She is a child who was catalogued.

A 12-year-old flown from France as a gift — whose existence JPMorgan documented in their own files — is not a “young woman.” She is a child who was purchased.

A 13-year-old whose rape Epstein personally helped suppress from a book, whose accuser he coached Bannon to discredit, is not a “young woman.” She is a teenager whose story was silenced by the men who profited from the silence.

A girl “not yet 14” who was told to lie about her age because she “wouldn’t get paid” otherwise is not a “young woman.” She is a minor who was taught to erase herself.

A 14-year-old paid $300 for a “massage” is not a “young woman.” She is a girl who was exploited.

A 15-year-old who tried to swim off an island to escape is not a “young woman.” She is a teenager who was imprisoned.

A 16-year-old virgin who was raped is not a “young woman.” She is a minor who was raped.

The files know this. The FBI knew it when they wrote “fourteen-year-old girl” three times in one paragraph. Epstein knew it when he bragged about the twelve-year-olds. The prosecutors knew it when they documented victims “as young as 12 years old.”

“Young women” is not what happened. Girls. Teenagers. Minors. That is what happened.

And we need to keep saying that. Every time. In every post, every comment, every conversation. Because the language they use is the first layer of protection, and we are the ones who get to strip it away.
